Solar Incentives in Colorado
Colorado's net metering policy allows commercial businesses to receive credits for excess energy that their solar system produces. Credits can be applied to future utility bills to alleviate energy costs.
Colorado offers the Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program, which allows commercial property owners to borrow money to pay for energy improvements without a large upfront cost coming out of the business' pocket.
In Colorado, businesses can avoid the 2.9% sales tax, and certain districts exempt property taxes for installed solar energy systems.
