I live in Colorado, and am concerned about the snow/wind load on the new PV array I am building. I have ordered the ProSolar Ground Trac components from you (shipment is on the way), but I have been reading about a separate component, A-SLE-1, a snow load enhancer. Some of the pictures I have seen look like a flat bar, but on your website, the picture looks like a piece of track. Question...what is this device, how is it installed, and should I use it for my application?

Neil,

My apologies on the image on our website.  It doesn't make it all to clear what the component looks like.  Please take a look below for a better image of the snow load enhancer as well as a snapshot of where it is installed on the ground racking.

The purpose of the attachment is to minimize rail deflection under snowload.  It is attached between the rail and the pipe.  See below

**UPDATE: I looked up your ground snow load and came up with 40psf.  According to the manufacturer they test at max static of 50psf.  However, they have to have a safety factor of 2 which makes it suitable for 25-30psf max.
