It depends. You are going to lose output based on how different the I-V curves are for the different modules. If you are going to mix modules you want them all to have a similar Vmpp so they will all hit MPP at the same voltage. You also can rarely get away with mixing modules in the same string.

Isn't that response misleading?   Doesn't the parameter to match depend upon whether the panels are to be wired in series or in parallel?  If in parallel, then, yes, Vmpp should be similar.  But, if in series, then Impp shouldn't be similar instead?
