I bought the Sunny Boy USB-PBS PC Service Cable but am having issues. Is it 32 or 64bit?

The cable is for both 32 and 64bit versons of the Windows OS. There are two different drivers for the cable available here: SMA Driver Most people will use version 2.06.00. There is a legacy driver for older versions of Windows as a second choice.
Make sure to also download the installation guide and skip to page 34 unless you are fluent in German or speak Solar German: USB Cable Guide
Unfortunately, the drivers you install are old-school in that you have to plug in the cable, wait for Windows to recognize it, then direct windows to the folder where the downloaded drivers are located.
The USB cable installation guide has all the details for your version of Windows. If you have any trouble, you can call SMA at 1 877-697-6283 and they will gladly walk you through the rough spots.
If you don't like the cable at all - or use a MAC - the Sunny Webbox will allow you to connect to any SMA device as long as it has an RS485 Communications card installed.
