I have 44 linear ft of mounting posts for ironridge racking. A 44 ft rack length to 13 panels, If I install rails that total 46 ft, I can fit 14 panels.
Is a 1ft over hang allowed on each end or do I need the ends fully supported?

1' of cantilever is not a lot, but I would check the Ironridge install manual - it will have specific information on the allowed cantilever.
If you run the Ironridge Design Assistant, it will give you the cantilever information: http://www.ironridge.com/rm It's not unusual to see cantilevers of 4-5'.
