I read the data sheet of this product and it says, "Parallel with a SunSaver for 40 amps solar". Does this mean the maximum input current could be 40 amps?

great question! Both the sunlight and sunsaver (SL/SS)-10-12V have max. 10A PV input current.
But you can connect them in parallel.
eg. Each solar string has an individual charge controller and charge the battery bank in parallel.
