If I am installing (30) SolarWorld 245 in landscape, will the panel leads be long enough to connect to each other?  I am installing them as 5 rows of 6 and using an SMA inverter (3 strings).  How will the panels connect to each other and ultimately to the combiner box?

Comments

The connector cables of SW245 is 37.4 inches. I believe it will suffice.

I made a quick drawing for you: I think this is how you would connect.

You can use an extension cable to go to combiner box, or a small junction box (you can buy from a hardware store) to switch from USE-2 wire to THHN.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Great diagram, thanks.  Also please note that the SMA inverter has 3 string inputs so if the SMA inverter is being mounted close enough you don't need to use the combiner in conjuction with the SMA inverter.  The SMA inverter has a fused DC disconnect that comes standard with the SMA inverter.
