Will IronRidge "D" type 1.60" End Clamp work with 1.5" thick solar panel?
Will IronRidge "D" 1.60" Mill Finish End Clamp work with 1.5" thick solar panel, or is there an end clamp that will work better?

The 1.60" end clamp would not work on a 1.5" module. The range that the end clamp will hold is 0.03" longer or shorter than the clamp length, so a 1.60" clamp will hold modules from 1.57" to 1.63".
IronRidge has made 1.50" end clamps in the past, but since there wasn't very much demand for them they are no longer in the catalog. (the part number for a kit of 1.50" clamps is 29-7000-150 you'll need to contact IronRidge for having them produced again for custom projects).
Another option would be to use under clamps (29-7000-117).
These clamps hook onto the top side channel on our XRS rail and attach through the mounting holes on the underside of the module. This might not be a viable solution for larger projects because it would mean attaching the panels to the rail, and then attaching the rails to the roof, but for smaller installs this could work fine.
