Texas Solar REAP Grant

Solar Incentives in Texas

Texas offers a 100% property tax exemption for business owners with solar systems, meaning the value of your system will not be factored in to your property taxes.

In Texas, business owners can take advantage of the Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS). This program allows business owners to recover some of the costs of solar panel installation through a five-year MACRS schedule.

The utility Oncor Electric Delivery offers rebates to its customers in Texas that install photovoltaic systems on businesses in its service area. Systems must be new, connected to the grid on the customer side of the meter, and meet all applicable code and utility interconnection requirements.

What is the REAP Grant (Rural Energy for America Program)?

The USDA's "Rural Energy for America Program," or “REAP,” offers a grant designed to encourage agricultural and rural businesses to maximize their energy efficiency with solar.
