Oregon Solar REAP Grant

Solar Incentives in Oregon

In Oregon, the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) has a solar electric rebate program of $0.50 per watt-AC, with a maximum of $12,500 per EWEB electric meter. Rebate amounts are based on the electrical output of the system after equipment and site losses are calculated.

Oregon business owners can take advantage of the Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS). This program allows business owners to recover some of the costs of solar panel installation through a five-year MACRS schedule

Business owners in Oregon can take advantage of the Federal Investment Tax Credit to reduce the total cost of a solar energy system by 30%. This can be used in addition to the USDA's REAP Grant.

What is the REAP Grant (Rural Energy for America Program)?

The USDA's "Rural Energy for America Program," or “REAP,” offers a grant designed to encourage agricultural and rural businesses to maximize their energy efficiency with solar.
