Georgia has fewer solar incentives than other states, which makes the REAP grant even more attractive for business owners. USDA's 50% rebate on your solar energy system is one of the best incentives offered in the history of the solar industry. So take advantage of the USDA's REAP Grant in SC while it is still available. Solar Incentives in Georgia

Business owners in Georgia can take advantage of the federal renewable electricity production tax credit (PTC). This provides an inflation-adjusted per-kilowatt-hour (kWh) tax credit for electricity generated by qualifying energy sources.

In Georgia, business owners can take advantage of the Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS). This program allows business owners to recover some of the costs of solar panel installation through a five-year MACRS schedule.

Georgia's net metering policy allows commercial businesses to receive credits for excess energy that their solar system produces at the "avoided energy rate," which is the rate that the utility company would pay to buy power from the open market.
