Steca PR2020 controller (with SW235 solar panel) does not recognize night time. All other functions working fine. Any ideas?

I know these need a few day/night cycles to learn from watching the voltage of the module when day and night are present but after 5 days still shows sun all the time. Charges batteries, but can't trigger night light function because it never shows night time.
