Is the Neutral wire required when connecting Fronius IG Plus 11.4-3 to a 3-phase 208 service?
I need to know whether I have to run the neutral cable from the inverter to the service panel. Thank you.

The IG Plus 11.4-3 is a true three phase 208V inverter. It connects to L1,L2 and L3. The Neutral does not have to be connected - unless you have some local code requirement - talk to a plan-checker to be sure.
The handy thing about the Neutral is that if you do run it, then you have a source of 120VAC single phase for convenience loads by connecting L1,2 or 3 to the Neutral.
This would be good if you had to run a WIFI antenna or some other small load - avoiding unbalancing the three phases with a large resistive load.
