If you put electricity into a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel will it produce light?
I know that when light hits the solar panel it produces electricity, but I want to know if the opposite is also true.

It probably would if it didn't have diodes to protect it from being back-driven. It might be infra red or red in color. I have driven multi-junction cells backwards and they will glow a bright red.
