During the Start Up sequence  ...  when we put in the  5 Digit Code  (12345)  we get an error message of  446  ...  we have checked the grounding technique and validated it ...  and  manual says for 446 error that it is in the internal  communication board  ...

The manual says to check fuses as well. If you already did that, then look at the loaded comm. cards. With the power off to the inverter, make sure the comm. cards are seated correctly. If they look good then try another start up. I would do this with Fronius on the phone with you if you have cell coverage at the site.

Great  ...  That  worked just fine  ...  apparently, and perhaps during shipment, one of the Comm card must have vibrated loose  ...   Once we  re-seated the card  and rebooted the start up sequence the  system worked as advertised  ....  very timely  ...

I might add that your guidance came just 1hr & 15 min before the state electrical inspector was due ...   Thank  You ...
