Used ET panels, did a 9600 W grid tie installation, and now my customer wants all the info on how to apply for the federal tax credit. They asked me if ET, or Greentech Renewables has the certificate to qualify the goods they sold me for this credit. HELP!!

The following link indicates that you can get the 30% credit under the personal tax credit for residential renewable energy tax credit: Personal Tax Credit Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit: http://www.dsireusa.org/incentives/incentive.cfm?Incentive_Code=US43F&re=1&ee=1 Residential Renewable Energy Tax Credit: http://www.dsireusa.org/incentives/incentive.cfm?Incentive_Code=US37F&re=1&ee=1 This next form goes more into the verbiage of the govt regulations: Search for the definition of "Qualifid solar electric property expenditure" and it says that: The term "qualified solar electric proper expenditure" means an expenditure for property which uses solar energy to generate electricity for use in a dwelling unit located in the United States and used as a residence by the tax payer qualified solar http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCODE-2011-title26/pdf/USCODE-2011-title2… Finally on the Tax Form 5695 via the IRS, you'll see line item 1, which says "qualified solar electric property costs" http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f5695.pdf And how basically you can take 30% of this "qualified solar electric property costs" which includes labor to do so as well as material. Greentech Renewables does not offer tax or accounting advice, but it's fairly clear that the IRS are looking for expenditures for solar electrical equipment in general and they are not qualifying individual manufacturers.
