Due to space limitations, I'd like to mount four batteries vertically in a custom made stainless steel battery enclosure. Would mounting AGM batteries vertical cause any problems?

I would recommend checking with the individual battery manufacture; however, most GEL and AGM batteries can be installed upright or on their sides.
