Mr T,A Nema 4 (Type 4) enclosure is designed to protect from hose directed water and direct rain (among other things) but it isn't necessarily sealed from the atmosphere. Air with a high moisture content may result in condensation inside the enclosure. Protected venting can often dramatically reduce the chance of condensation, but internal components should have a conformal coating if condensation is a risk.
