This installation features a 25-panel solar system located in Pittsburgh, PA. The complete system includes Enphase IQ8H microinverters, Qcells Q.Tron 425-watt solar panels, IronRidge rails, Hug Ultragrip, and a BX Ballast Mount. Initially, it was quite challenging to determine the number of necessary panels due to limited roof space.
After evaluating several options, we decided to install two solar arrays. One array was mounted on the home's shingle roof, while the other was placed on the flat garage roof. This approach not only maximized the number of panels but also eliminated the homeowner's electricity consumption, which had previously seemed impossible.
This project was unique because we combined roof mounting with a ballast-mounted solar system to accommodate the required number of panels for reducing electrical consumption in Pittsburgh. Throughout the process, Greentech Renewable was consistently available and collaborated with us to find the best solutions for the two different solar arrays.
