This commercial installation in Des Moines presented some challenges. Since the site was a reclaimed landfill, we were unable to disturb the ground. Instead, we installed a 30-degree fixed tilt ground array that utilized ballast above ground, preserving the land underneath. The main challenge was laying out the array within the specified dimensions and soil depth.
The installation site, which was otherwise unusable, is now being utilized to generate electricity that powers the City of Des Moines' Greenhouse and Animal Control Facilities, resulting in significant savings for taxpayers.
Greentech Renewables coordinated all engineering drawings from the racking manufacturers, ensuring we met the City of Des Moines' requirements. Additionally, Greentech managed the logistics for product delivery throughout the installation process, even with limited laydown yard space. Joshua was our primary contact for the final Bill of Materials and system development, and he contributed greatly to making the process seamless.
