22.2kW Residential Install in North Bennington, VT

This stunning residential roof mount and ground mount installation was quite the project. The entire system consists of Roof Mount Modules - LG Solar roof mount modules, QCells' Q.Peak DUO G6+ BLK, Enphase IQ7A Microinverters, IronRidge XR100 rails, SnapNRack Series 200 Ground Mount, and Tesla Power 2 + Gateway. One factor that made this project unique was the customer’s need for a lot of power at a property where neither a solar array on the roof nor the ground alone could provide the energy needed. As such, we went with a hybrid roof mount and ground mount approach with great success. One challenge occurred when we installed two Tesla Powerwalls for battery backup purposes, which could not handle the AC input from the solar arrays. 

To solve this issue, we partitioned a percentage of the solar generation for outage events. We added a third Tesla Powerwall later on to handle increased loads added to the home. Ultimately, we’re proud of this bespoke system that allows this three-time customer to meet all his energy needs with renewable resources.
